How ScienceX Uses Personal Data
ScienceX collects and processes personal data for specified and lawful purposes connected with registration, examinations, academic assessment, reporting, certification, programme administration, customer support, order fulfilment, and other authorised services.
We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant service and to restrict its use to the purposes communicated through our Privacy Policy and applicable collection notices.
| Data Area | Purpose of Processing | Protection & Safeguards |

Schools are expected to maintain accurate institutional and coordinator records. |

| Examination & Performance Data | Answer evaluation, marks, ranks, Scientific Aptitude Index (SAI) reporting, performance analysis, certificates, and academic guidance. | Individual results and detailed performance reports are intended for access through authorised channels. Aggregate academic insights must be presented responsibly without unnecessary disclosure of individual student information. |

ScienceX does not permit targeted advertising or prohibited behavioural monitoring of children, subject to any applicable legal exemption. |
Protection of Children's Personal Data
ScienceX recognises that students participating in school Olympiads and educational programmes may be below 18 years of age and therefore require additional privacy protection.
For ScienceX school-based registrations, parental or lawful-guardian consent is mandatory for every participating student below 18 years of age.
Participating schools must obtain the prescribed consent before submitting the student's personal data to ScienceX, maintain appropriate consent records, and follow the verification procedures communicated by ScienceX.
A school or coordinator declaration does not remove any additional parental-consent verification requirement applicable under law.
Consent for optional promotional activities, such as publication of student photographs, testimonials, or other publicity materials, is separate from consent for examination registration and administration.
Examination Results, Reports & Recognition
Individual examination records, detailed performance reports, OMR-related information, and student-specific academic data are intended to be made available only through authorised access channels.
ScienceX may publish award or achievement information where publication is authorised under the applicable programme rules and data-protection requirements.
Photographs, testimonials, and other optional promotional material involving children require appropriate separate consent.
School-level or programme-level performance summaries may be prepared using aggregated or appropriately de-identified information where practicable.
Data Security & Confidentiality
ScienceX maintains a data-protection framework intended to safeguard personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
Appropriate safeguards may include access restrictions, authentication controls, secure transmission, protected storage, backup procedures, monitoring, and incident-response measures according to the nature and sensitivity of the data.
Access to student information is limited to persons and service providers who require the information for authorised operational purposes.
Schools and coordinators must protect student lists, pre-filled OMR sheets, attendance records, consent forms, examination reports, and related documents against unauthorised disclosure.
Data Retention & Deletion
ScienceX retains personal data for the period reasonably necessary to fulfil the specified purpose, administer academic records, verify certificates, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
Where the relevant purpose has ended and continued retention is not required or otherwise permitted by law, personal data will be erased or appropriately de-identified in accordance with applicable requirements.
Different retention periods may apply to registration records, examination responses, certificates, payment records, consent evidence, support requests, and security logs.
Privacy Rights & Grievance Redressal
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request information about the processing of their personal data, correction or updating of inaccurate information, erasure, withdrawal of consent, and grievance redressal.
Applicable rights concerning children's personal data may be exercised through the parent or lawful guardian in accordance with legal requirements and appropriate verification.
Privacy-related requests may be submitted through the official ScienceX support and privacy contact channels.
Where required by applicable law, ScienceX will provide the prescribed grievance contact information and redressal procedure.
